SDHS Conferences The annual SDHS conference draws participants from around the world, including dance scholars and scholars working in related fields. Conversations Across the Field of Dance Studies We seek to bring you themes and debates current in the field of dance studies and the profession, alongside news from the international community of scholars in dance and related disciplines. Studies in Dance History SDHS’s monograph series, published by University of Wisconsin Press, answers a growing demand for works that provide fresh analytical perspectives on dancing, dancers, and dances in a global context. Please use the email addresses listed on this website to contact us until construction of the new DSA website is completed later this year. During this transitional phase, our association management company (Association Executives Group) will maintain member services through the existing SDHS website. DSA aspires to be a gathering place to facilitate collegiality and contribute to the advancement of the field.
So, while DSA is new,” it is grounded in a long history of dance scholarship and organizational infrastructure.ĭSA will provide a home for dance scholars, educators and artists where we can collectively support dance advocacy and access, challenge and exercise our thinking about dance, and support each other’s development throughout the career span.
